How can INCLUSIVE OT help you?

We provide comprehensive Functional Capacity Assessments (FCA) to identify and document support needs for Home Care Package clients and NDIS participants. This includes assessment for therapy, home modifications, assistive technology, other aids and appliances, capacity building or daily living support needs. ​We also outline core supports and care needs for NDIS Plans as part of our thorough evaluation process.

What is an FCA?

When an OT conducts an FCA, they are gathering information about a person’s functional performance in areas of self-care and general day-to-day activities in and around the home. These assessments are carried out for participants who are experiencing difficulties in these areas. Inclusive OT helps clients who are experiencing difficulties due to neurological, musculoskeletal, congenital and degenerative conditions, the ageing process, spinal cord injury or a traumatic brain injury.

We rely on clinical observations, interviews, standardised assessments and strong collaboration with the participant and other stakeholders to offer a thorough overview of the person's needs.

Inclusive OT provides a comprehensive ​summary of occupational limitations with proposed and required interventions to increase participation and independence, which may include:

• Capacity building to overcome physical and/or cognitive barriers

• Care needs/ care schedule or assistance with participation in personal daily activities

• Strategies for task modification

• Assistive technology & devices

• Minor and complex home modifications

• Rehabilitation services

• Core support services
